Longevity in Dance
PBT classes at VBDance will be led by guest teacher Louise Outram who is course director at Dance2Advance. Louise has a wealth of experience in teaching Ballet, Modern and Tap as well as PBT. The PBT session is initially open to students training at Grade 3-5 Ballet level and will run 6:30 – 7:15 on Thursday evenings in Studio 3 at Woodlands Meed School.
Students will need to provide their own exercise mat, fit ball and folder. Please check guidance below regarding sizing for fit balls.
Using your height to size up your ball
When you stand next to an exercise ball, it should be even or slightly above your knee level. The best way to size up your ball is by sitting on it. When you sit on the ball, your knees should be bent at a 90-degree angle and your thighs should be parallel or even with the floor. Find your height and see which ball size you should try first.
Height and recommended ball size
Under 4’8″ – 45 cm ball
4’8” to 5’3” – 55 cm ball
