Our Main School show at The Hawth Theatre, Crawley was such a fabulous weekend and we were incredibly proud of every single dancer who took part. It was brilliant to see children and young people of all ages performing together, supporting each other and genuinely loving being on stage.
We received so many wonderful messages following on from the production including this lovely message from one of our VBDance grandparents:
“The whole event was first class, the choreography, the costumes, the music and obviously the dancers themselves. It was a real joy to see young people of all ages coming together to perform. Their love of dance and their enjoyment shone through.
The work and comitment you all put into the event was exceptional. In a world where children spend so much of their time online and on devices, it was wonderful to see them coming together, learning, performing and enjoying the beauty and joy of dance. It gives us great faith that people like you and the team spend such a lot of time sharing your knowledge and skills so that the next generation can learn the beauty and joy of dancing.”
That last part especially meant a lot to us. Dance gives children so much more than steps to learn, and evenings like this are a lovely reminder of that. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the show happen and of course a huge well done to all of the VBDancers on such a wonderful achievement!
