Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Children’s Activities Association Ignite 23 Conference in Leamington Spa. It was an informative day filled with insightful discussions, valuable networking, and a strong emphasis on improving industry standards, especially in safeguarding, compliance, and best practices.

What left a lasting impression on me was the sense of unity and shared purpose at the event. It was clear that everyone present was united in their commitment to enhancing the Children’s Activity industry and ensuring the safety and well-being of children in the activities we provide.

To kick off Ignite 2023, we were reminded of a powerful quote: “Each of us can make a difference, together we can make a change” – James McDonald. These words couldn’t have been more fitting for the occasion. They encapsulated the collective spirit and determination of the conference attendees.

Thank you to the Children’s Activity Association for their dedication to addressing critical issues as they are making such significant contributions to shape the future of our industry. It’s about recognising that as individuals, we can make a difference, and as a collective, we can drive meaningful change in the lives of children.
