To all of our dancers and families

I hope you are all well and feeling optimistic following the latest government update! The children who have danced online with us this term have worked so hard, and continue to amaze us. A huge well done to you all for continuing to adapt during this lockdown. Juggling family life,  home learning, working and on top of all that dancing in kitchens, living rooms and conservatories etc is not easy!

We have, also really missed VBDancers not dancing with us currently and we cannot wait to welcome you all back when we return to the studio! We have loved hearing from some of you and please do continue to keep in touch with us.

Return to the studio plans
Following the announcement of the easing of lockdown roadmap we are beyond thrilled ( as long as all goes to plan) to be returning to face to face classes after the Easter holidays! Do keep an eye on your inbox with details of priority booking for the Summer term. With this in mind, we have made the decision to adjust term dates as follows to maximise our time teaching face to face.

Revised term dates:

  • Spring Term Online: Tuesday 23rd February – Saturday 20th March (not 27th March as previously advised. This extra week will be carried over to the Summer term for face to face classes. Invoices for the Summer will be credited accordingly).
  • 
Easter Holidays: Monday 22nd March – Saturday 17th April
  • Easter Holiday Day of Dance: Tuesday 13th April-Thursday 15th April (in studio)
  • Summer Term In Studio: Monday 19th April – Saturday 17th July
    Summer Half Term: Monday 31st May –  Saturday 5th June
  • Summer Performance TBC: Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th July
Rehearsal Week TBC: Monday 19th July-Thursday 23rd July
  • Summer Club: Monday 26th July-Friday 30th July

Summer Term

We have received lots of enquiries from new children keen to join our dance classes this Summer. If your child was hoping to join us for additional classes this Summer term and wanted to try something new, do get in touch ASAP to book in a free taster. We are keen to give existing students first pick of classes, before opening up to new pupils.

Our new website is now live! There are a few tweaks to do still, but we hope you love what we have done and alongside all the regular information we have now introduced a Parents Portal. So why not take a look here?

Holiday workshops
We have been super busy planning some extra holiday activities for the VBDancers this Spring and Summer. You can find out more here   about our Easter holiday day of dance running Tuesday 13th April – Thursday 15th April and also our Summer club Monday 26th July – Friday 30th July.

Uniform
We expect that although the world has slowed down, your children are still growing! Don’t forget that you can still order all uniform online or through our local suppliers. Find out more here.

Harry Potter Drawing Competition Winner
Some of the VBDancers participated in a Harry Potter workshop during half term and entered our competition. Huge well done to everyone who entered with special congratulations to the winner Eleanora! You can find out more and see all of the fantastic entries here.

Saturday 6th March
Theme for all classes on this day is Sparkles & Rainbows. We look forward to seeing what amazing outfits and hair styles you can all come up with.

 

Welcome to ‘Team VB’
Team VB is growing and I am delighted to welcome Siobhan Chown our new Office Assistant to the team. You may see Siobhan pop into your inbox from time to time as she is helping me with daily admin to help keep things running smoothly in the office as we are getting busier and busier!  You can read more about Siobhan here. 

And finally…..
We would like to say a huge thank you again for your support, understanding and encouragement during these unprecedented times. It has been a rollercoaster to say the least, but our amazing community of dancers, teachers and families have pulled together and we cannot wait to be back dancing together again soon.  Please do continue to keep in touch via Facebook or Instagram and we’d love to see your photos and videos of you dancing at home! Please do continue to share our posts and if you have a moment please leave a Facebook or Google review for us too.  We would really appreciate it as these sorts of actions will help us get back up on our ‘dancing’ feet as a small business.
