March News

Dear Parents and Carers,

If we had one word for this term it would be SHOW! Whilst we have been prepping for our school production, ‘Dance Fever’ for what feels like forever behind the scenes, we have finally started rehearsals and are so excited for you all to see the fantastic dances that our wonderful teachers are putting together.

Please continue to read down below for useful information on the show and news concerning classes this term.

VBDance presents ‘Dance Fever’
We have been overwhelmed with the incredible response to our show from all the parents and students. There is a real excitement in the air and we are working non stop at VBDance HQ making sure everything is ready for the big day!

We appreciate so many people getting their registration forms over so fast. If you haven’t managed to send it over yet, please get it over ASAP so that we know final numbers of participants.

Some very big news is that show tickets are now on sale and available to purchase directly from The Hawth! You can buy them either online or by telephone (01293 553636).

All tickets are available on a first come first serve basis so don’t delay if you want to come along.

Thank you!
We wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has offered help so far. We would never be able to run such a big production without the help of parents and guardians at the school so we wanted to let you know we appreciate all of you- we are excited and really starting to gather momentum!

ISTD Exam Results
On top of the excitement of show prep, we also managed to fit in a couple of exam days this term for ISTD Ballet, Modern and Tap. Results are in and they are fantastic so just wanted to say a massive well done to all who took part. What an accomplishment!

Summer Camp
If you can fathom thinking past the school show to summer, we wanted to make you all aware that we will be running our Summer Camp week commencing 27th July. Our holiday workshops and summer schools are always such a big hit with the students, so if you think your children are going to need something to keep them busy and active during summer, this will be perfect! More details to follow soon…

Charity Bake Sale
One of our younger students Elodie Penny, will be holding a charity bake sale at Woodlands Meed School on Saturday 28th March. She will be selling cakes and baked goodies to all our students and parents to raise money for a brain tumour charity. We are so proud of Elodie for supporting such a great cause and know you will all show your support with donations and pick up a tasty treat at the same time!

G Lois Dancewear Uniform Shop Closure
We are very sad to say that G Lois Dancewear, who have been providing our VBDance uniform for many years, have now closed due to the owner retiring. We are so very grateful to Gerry and her team for keeping our dancers looking so smart in their uniform. However, please fear not. We have a plan for uniform for the future and will be releasing details shortly of our new arrangements. Keep an eye on your inboxes this week for further details.

We really hope you are all sharing our excitement for the upcoming show. It is a busy time but we have been overwhelmed with the positivity of our students and parents and we cannot wait to see the final production on the 16th May!

With Best Wishes
Victoria and Team VBDance
