Pre School Ballet Classes
Our Pre School Ballet program continues to thrive and we are so pleased to have such a busy timetable of classes. There are only a couple of spaces remaining on Thursday’s in Cuckfield at 9:30 and Saturday’s at 12:30. If you would like to book in your child for some trial classes then do get in touch as soon as possible.

New Monday Classes at Manor Field
Due to demand, we are launching a brand new Reception Ballet club for children who attend Manor Field School. The class will run on Monday’s commencing 5th November. There are a few places available, so do get in touch asap if you would like to book in.

I just wanted to stress the importance of regular attendance at classes. I appreciate it is a tricky time of the year with different Open Days and Parents’ Evenings, many of which appear to fall on a Thursday. If it is not possible to schedule these events around the dance classes or attend, please notify us by either text or email so that we can let the teacher know in advance. However, if it is possible for your child to attend, please ensure they do. It not only ensures they are getting the most out of their classes, but we do take attendance into account when planning for exams as it is not fair to enter a student who is under prepared. Please also ensure your child arrives to class on time and is collected promptly. Late arrivals are very disruptive to a class which has already started. Thank you to everyone who does make it to class on time and thank you for your cooperation with this.

I wanted to remind everyone that children should be in the correct uniform and with neat hair for all classes once trial blocks have been completed and your child is fully enrolled at the school. You can find a detailed list of everything you will need for each genre and grade on our website but please feel free to pop us an e-mail if you have any questions. Please can I remind our tap dancers that they should be wearing plain black socks for their tap classes alongside the rest of the set uniform. It may seem like a small thing but it creates a nicer line of the leg and foot and gives a more professional appearance overall.

Lastly, we do have a range of branded hoodies, tracksuit bottoms, onesies etc that are perfect to wear over the dance uniform as we head into cooler weather. The last date for Christmas orders is Saturday 15th December and they are available to order online here: https://getmekitted.com/vb-dance-52-c.asp

VBDance Show 2019
We also wanted to put out another reminder of date for our 2019 school show. Show sign up emails will be with you in the next couple of weeks, but please make sure you have blocked out all dates below:

Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th March – Dress Rehearsal
Friday 22nd March – Technical Rehearsal
Saturday 23rd March – Matinee and Evening Performance

Help from parents is invaluable when it comes to chaperoning, costumes and backstage assistance, so if you would like to kindly offer your services please let us know as it is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much to those of you who have already offered!

Our Newest VBDance Recruit!
Finally, my husband and I were absolutely thrilled to welcome baby Arthur to the family earlier this month. Although I am on maternity leave from classes for a little while, please do continue to email the office on admin@vbdance.com or call 07841 922 631 as normal if you have any questions and myself and Hannah will be happy to help. Thank you so much for all of the kind wishes, cards and gifts. We have been in-undated and are very touched.

We look forward to seeing everyone back at classes next week!

Best Wishes
