Welcome back everyone. I hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas break and are looking forward to the busy year ahead.
Please read below important information regarding VBDance classes this term.
Classes resume week commencing 9th January. If you have not done so already, please confirm your childs space for this term and forward payment asap. VTots Ballet, Beginners Ballet and Infant Street are now full and there is a waiting list operating for children requesting spaces in these classes. If you are unsure of class times for this term please refer to the Timetable on the VBDance website.
The Big Dance Off!
On Janury 21st , many of the VBDancers will be performing at The Triangle in The Big Dance Off competition. The winners are determined by the audience vote so PLEASE do come and support us. You can email thebigdanceoff@hotmail.co.uk or telephone 07813 680707 to reserve tickets. Separate information regarding rehearsals, costumes and timings for the day will be sent to parents and carers this week.
Street Dance Clothing
As stated in the October newsletter, all Street Dancers need to be wearing the VBDance T Shirt in class. It is available to purchase online at http://vbdance.bigcartel.com/ and will be the uniform for the classes. There will also be a limited amount available to purchase after school on Tuesdays. Dancers are welcome to wear trainers, tracksuit bottoms, leggings or shorts of their choice.
Hair and Shoes for Ballet Pupils Grade 1 – 3
The children are permitted to wear ribbons on their shoes for class only if they can tie them independently. If not, elastics are fine to be worn in class.
Please can ballet pupils who attend Thursday classes ensure long hair is groomed into a neat bun for class. Thank you very much to all pupils and parents who do this. Please visit http://vbdance.com/2011/09/16/how-to-do-a-quick-bun-for-ballet/ if you would like some guidance on how to do a bun.
New Beginners Tap Class
I am delighted to see a number of children have signed up for the new tap class on Fridays 4:15 – 4:45 at Birchwood Grove . There are still a few more spaces left so please contact me if your child would like to join. The class is open to children from Reception to Year 3.
VBDance Show: Fancy Footwork
Don’t forget to put the following dates for the VBDance show in the diary. All VBDancers (with the exception of VTots) to participate.
Dress Rehearsal Birchwood Grove, Burgess Hill Saturday 19th May
Technical Rehearsal Chequer Mead Theatre, East Grinstead Friday 25th May
Performances (Matinee & Evening) Saturday 26th May

Spring Term: 10th January – 23rd March (no classes 13th – 17th February).
Summer Term: 17th April – 6th July (no classes 29th May – 8th June)
VBDance Summer Club: 23rd – 27th July
