Big Dance Off 2012!

Congratulations to all of the dance schools, crews and groups who participated in The Big Dance Off 2012. MASSIVE well done to the 27 VBDancers who performed  in the competition at the Triangle Leisure Centre in Burgess Hill. One group consisting of 12 children age 7-11 performed a dance to ‘Gold Digger’ choreographed by our lovely Street and Jazz teachers Miss Becca and Miss Sophie and were awarded 1st place and a trophy in the Novelty Dance Section. 15 of our VBDancers age 8-12 performed their dance to ‘Aint No Mountain’ choreographed by Miss Bremner. They too were awarded 1st place and another wonderful trophy this time for the Serious Dance Section.

It was a fantastic night and a great opportunity to see such a variety of performances. I know our students were very much inspired by what they saw and the entire experience. As a school this is only our second ever competition so we are delighted with the result!

Thank you so much to everyone who voted for us. The dancers have worked so hard over the past few months to perfect their routines and we are all thrilled with the awards. Also, massive thank you to our chaperones, Kate, Mandy and Lauren for all of your help this evening.

Finally huge thank you to The Big Dance Off team for organising a great event. The VBDancers love having the opportunity to perform and getting into the ‘team spirit.’ It really is a great experience. We can’t wait to find out how much has been raised for Charity this year!
